Gas analyzers

Gas Phase O2

Qubit Systems manufactures a range of O2 gas analyzers with applications for research and teaching in the biosciences, environmental monitoring and industrial applications.  They are temperature and pressure compensated and vary in range, response and resolution. We customize our O2 analyzers for your applications.

Gas Phase CO2

Qubit Systems manufactures a range of NDIR CO2 analyzers with applications for research and teaching in the biosciences, for environmental monitoring and for industrial applications.  Our analyzers span the entire range of CO2 concentrations, from low range systems with high resolution, to analyzers capable of measuring from zero to 100% CO2.  We can customize analyzers to your precise specifications for stand-alone use, or as part of computer-controlled gas exchange and gas control systems.

H2 and Methane

Qubit Systems offers hydrogen and methane gas analyzers. These analyzers can be customized in their ranges according to user applications. Hydrogen gas analyzer is an integral part of our nitrogen fixation package Q-Box NF1LP. The methane analyzers can be used in various applications for detection of methane production in low ranges of up to 100ppm (atmospheric monitoring, soil studies) and high range of up to 5000ppm (livestock emissions, fermentation studies).

Dissolved O2

Qubit Systems offer various options for measurements of dissolved oxygen (DO). Optical, polarographic and galvanic probes are available. Dissolved oxygen electrodes are part of our OX1LP dissolved oxygen packages. We offer DO control systems for up to 4 channels. Q-Box AQUA aquatic respiration package employs measurements of DO in an intermittent flow system.

Dissolved CO2 Systems

Dissolved CO2 (DCO2) Systems are designed to measure dissolved pCO2 in water at atmospheric pressure.  The systems are composed of a DCO2 sampler with accessories, a non-dispersive infra red CO2 analyzer with a built in gas pump, data interface and software. The Rapid Response DCO2 System consists of flow through Rapid DCO2 Sampling System, liquid pump, IRGA with built in gas pump, data interface and software.

Gas Mixing & Flow

Qubit Systems offers instrumentation for measurements of various processes associated with gas flow and delivery.  We offer gas flow meters, gas mixing systems and gas pumps.  These are essential components of any gas exchange measuring or gas delivery systems.  We customise these systems with components selected to users specifications.

Gas Control

Qubit offers various systems for gas control. From control of gas concentration in a chamber to control of gas flow through a multichannel gas measuring system, we provide customized setups to meet user’s applications. In control of specific gas concentration we employ a solenoid gas controller (A365) which controls the release of a minor gas in the background of a major gas. For control of gas flow through a multichannel system we offer gas switching systems for 4 or 8 channels. Gas Switching Systems allow gases from different channels to be directed through the same set of gas analyzers for measurements.  We also provide control of dissolved gases in our Aquatic Control Systems

Aquatic Control

Aquatic Control Systems

Qubit Systems manufactures Aquatic Control Systems for both fresh and sea water.  These systems can control pH/CO2, O2, temperature, salinity and turbidity in up to 4 different tanks, independently.  Our Aquatic Control Systems are customized to the size of the tanks and the range of control parameters.  Qubit Aquatic Control Systems have wide applications in aquatic research, aquaculture, aquatic respirometry studies, algal cultivation, aquatic environmental control, ocean acidification studies.

S122 Optical DO probe

Optical dissolved O2 (DO) probe uses luminescence technology to provide fast, easy and accurate measurements of dissolved oxygen in solutions. This probe is ideal for both laboratory and field measurements of dissolved O2. It requires no warm up time, infrequent calibration, no filling solution and no stirring. The optical DO probe S122 is the key component of our Q-Box AQUA Aquatic Respirometry Package and Qubit DO Control Systems. The probe has built in temperature and pressure compensation and can record DO in % saturation or mg/L.


S216 Hand Dynamometer

Qubit Systems’ provides strain-gage based isometric S216 Hand Dynamometer.  This instrument is designed for measurements of grip strength, pinch strength and to perform muscle fatigue studies.  It can be used with the C610 LabQuest Mini data interface and C901 Logger Pro software in a variety of experiments, and may be combined with other sensors such as the Q-S207 EKG/EMG sensor and Q-S222 GSR sensor for comprehensive studies of muscle activity.

Q-S207 EKG/EMG Sensor

Qubit Systems’ surface Q-S207 Electrocardiogram/Electromyogram (EKG/EMG) Sensor measures voltage waveforms produced during the contraction of the heart (EKG) as well as during other muscle contraction (EMG).

Q-S222 GSR Sensor

The Q–S222 Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) Sensor measures the psycho-galvanic reflex. This reflex generates a change in skin conductivity during periods of stress, excitement or shock. The changes in skin conductance are measured by the Q-S222 GSR sensor in micro Semens (µS). The sensor has 2 analog outputs, a high range (40 µS) and a low range (5 µS). The 5 µS output can be offset with a potentiometer to permit high sensitivity measurements over the entire range from 0 to 40 µS.


SERVOFLEX Micro i.s (5100 i.s)

The SERVOFLEX Micro i.s is a single component Intrinsically Safe Portable Gas Analyser that is certified to zone 0 and zone 1.

Technology Used

Oxygen – a choice of two Servomex paramagnetic transducers (standard or high accuracy) both offering fast selective measurement of oxygen without the disadvantages of electrochemical or zirconia cells.
Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide – Single beam, single wavelength infrared technology using Servomex patented long life source gives a highly stable, selective and low maintenance measurement.

Lab Sample Take Off Systems

Dopak – The Dopak SRS offers the ability to recover a liquid sample from the sample bottle without the risk of spillage or contamination. Applications for this system can be found in plant laboratories. The unique design offers a one handle operation by multiple valves. In addition, the nitrogen purge not only assists in driving the liquid out of the sample bottle, but also cleans the whole system including needle assembly and sample bottle.


Gas, Liquid and Vapour Samples

Dovianus develops, produces and markets sampling systems for liquids, gases and liquefied gases under the name Dopak. Headline Filters

Headline Filters produce a wide range of products for the filtration industry, from filter elements, for coalescing or particulate duty, in a wide variety of industry-standard sizes to filter housings in a variety of materials for pressures up to 700 bar. To complement these products, we also offer a range of Membrane Separator housings for those applications requiring zero liquid entrainment.

Also available are disposable inline filters which offer the user a cost-effective and easy-to-replace robust filter suitable for portable analyser systems.

Headline Filters also produce adsorption products in a variety of forms, ideal for last-chance air purification and analyser protection. Disposable types eliminate the need to handle loose adsorbents although re-fillable versions are also available. Many different adsorbents are available to cater for virtually all requirements.


Compressed Air Filtration

These filters are suitable for a variety of gas and liquid applications. The disposable bonded microfiber filter elements are extremely efficient as well as being low cost. They offer high flow rates with very low pressure drops. All products conform to industry standard sizes and grades and are completely interchangeable with other manufacturers housings and filter elements.
