VT and CVT Vacuum Gauges
Teledyne Hastings Instruments (THI) VT-Series Vacuum Gauges are the original models that have generated repeat customers for over 60 years. Their reputation is built upon exceptional stability, accuracy, and reliability under the most demanding conditions. VT-Series Vacuum Gauges are available in three standard ranges: 0-100 mTorr, 0-1000 mTorr, and 0-20 Torr. A self-contained gauge circuit is attached to the rear of the direct reading meter. All VT-Series Vacuum Gauges feature long life and minimal maintenance. These instruments utilize THI’s rugged but sensitive noble metal Thermocouple gauge tubes that are designed specifically for each range. Tubes are matched and interchangeable without calibration adjustments. They are compensated for temperature and rate of temperature change and are corrosion-resistant.
The HPM-760S module is an exceptionally stable, accurate and repeatable absolute pressure gauge. The output signal is a highly linear voltage or current signal suitable for many process control applications. As an absolute pressure gauge, readings are unaffected by gas composition. This compact instrument is constructed of 316 stainless steel on all wetted surfaces. The sensor is available as a stand-alone instrument, or may be configured with the optional Digital Power Supply featuring dual hi-lo control set points. This is an economical sensor alternative to higher cost systems.
Model HPM 4/6
The Model HPM 4/6 is a compact, hand-held, digital display, battery operated control unit. When combined with the Teledyne Hastings Instruments (THI) rugged thermopile sensors it becomes a vacuum instrument designed for portability and ease of use in applications where AC power is not readily available. The lightweight control unit operates with a standard 9 volt battery, and is available for display in units of Torr or mbar. Additionally, it can be calibrated to an individual sensor or set for average sensor output to work with many different sensors of the same type. It is switchable to offer display for both the DV-6 (0.001 to 1 Torr) and the DV-4 (0.01 to 20 Torr) sensors without re-calibrating. These sensors are rugged, noble metal sensors which are resistant to corrosion and can be ordered with a variety of system connections to meet your system’s requirements such as VCR®, KF 16, KF 25, Glass, MiniConflat™ and 1/8" NPT, etc.
The Model 2002, Dual Sensor Vacuum Gauge, is a wide range vacuum instrument consisting of a digital microprocessor-based display unit, two sensing elements (micro-Pirani and piezoresistive bridge) in a single tube shell, andan interconnecting cable. Together, these components provide accurate vacuum measurement over 7 decades of pressure from 1x10-4 Torr to 1000 Torr. This instrument is anew design approach based on over 60 years of experience by Teledyne Hastings Instruments (THI) with well-known pressure measurement techniques. A single tube contains both a THI patented thin film Pirani sensor and a piezoresistive sensor in a small, rugged and inexpensive package. The piezoresistive bridge is a direct force sensor which gives very accurate readings at high pressures from atmosphere down to less than 1 Torr without the concerns of gas composition. The thin film Pirani measures pressures from a few Torr down to 1x10-4 Torr. An algorithm residing in the microprocessor ensures a seamless transition between sensors. Additionally, the two sensor outputs are used in a cross calibration mode to give even higher accuracy.
HPM 2002 OBE
The OBE is system-mounted gauge which provides the user with a low-cost method of accurate vacuum measurement over a wide range of pressure. The OBE uses the same rugged HPM-2002S tube as the award-winning Model 2002. The module contains all of the performance features of the Model 2002 dual sensor instrument in a compact configuration. The OBE electronics module is available with many different types of signal output options for the user. OBE is ideal for applications that require accuracy without the expense of costly capacitance manometers and a wide measurement range without multiple gauges.
The Teledyne Hastings Instruments IGE-3000 line of Ionization Gauge Tubes and Electronics provides the user with accurate, repeatable ressure measurement starting in the medium vacuum range and continuing through into the ultrahigh vacuum range. A complete measurement system consists of a dual-filament miniaturized Bayard-Alpert ionization gauge tube and electronics package. The gauge tube includes several innovations over conventional Bayard-Alpert tubes. For example, the filaments are precisely tensioned to give repeatable performance. In addition, all tube materials are selected and processed to yield consistent structural integrity.
DVT (Digital VT) / DCVT (Digital CVT)
The Teledyne Hastings instruments’ DVT & DCVT are digital readout versions of the successful VT/CVT-Series “Hastings Gauges” which have generated loyal customers for over 50 years. A reputation has been built on exceptional stability, accuracy, and reliability under the most demanding conditions. Both the DVT & DCVT feature a precision A/D converter along with a microprocessor to measure the thermocouple vacuum gauge tube’s signal output. The microprocessor converts the measurement to a pressure reading by employing the gauge tube’s welldefined output/pressure relationship. The result is displayed using a bright 3-digit green LED display. Both the DVT & DCVT are packaged in an 1/8 DIN case which can be panel mounted.
Digital AVC - DAVC-4, DAVC-5, DAVC-6
The Teledyne Hastings Instruments (THI) Digital AVC (DAVC) is a microprocessor controlled vacuum gauge meter without readout. In addition to the analog output (0-1 VDC), pressure measurements can be accessed by an RS232 serial port using Torr, mbar or Pa. A precision A/D converter along with the microprocessor measures the thermocouple vacuum gauge tube’s signal output, converts the measurement to a pressure reading employing the gauge tube’s well-defined output/pressure function, and transmits the result. These instruments are packaged in a small extruded aluminum case with controls and D-connector mounted on the top cover.
THPS 760 Plus
The THPS 760 Plus Vacuum Controller is an exceptionally stable, accurate and repeatable absolute pressure gauge that provides excellent linearity and is unaffected by gas composition. A full 41⁄2 digit meter indicates in 0.1 Torr units from 0.1 to 1000.0 Torr. The heart of this vacum controller is the HPM-760S module, a stainless steel measurement volume attached to a small and rugged piezo-resistive transducer on a silicon chip. The chip includes a sealed vacuum reference, a resistive bridge circuit and a temperature compensation network which provides outstanding accuracy and stability.
